OVER THE LAST DECADE OR SO OF BUILDING PRIMARY CLUTCHES WE SET OUT TO BUILD A CLUTCH THAT WOULD APPEAL TO ALL RIDERS. DEEP MUD AND WATER WITH MASSIVE TIRES, HIGH SPEED AGGRESSIVE TRAIL RIDERS, RACERS OF ALL KINDS, AND JUST THE AVERAGE RIDER LOOKING FOR A BIG BUMP IN PERFORMANCE. IN DOING SO WE CREATED THE REV X RMT “RACE/MUD/TRIAL”.
-DURABILITY WAS AT THE TOP OF THE LIST. WE WANT YOU TO FEEL YOU GOT YOUR MONEYS WORTH. WE STARTED WITH THE WEAR PARTS, THE ROLLERS IN THE SPIDER ARE ALMOST ¾” DIAMETER AND NEARLY 1” LONG TO SUPPORT THE LOAD OF THE SHIFT ARMS. THE BUTTONS ARE A MASSIVE 7/8” DIAMETER. THIS AIDS IN KEEPING THE MOVEABLE SHEAVE SQUARE WITH THE BELT AND PROLONGS CLUTCH LIFE. WE WENT TO A STEEL SUPPORTED BUSHING IN THE SHIFT ARMS WITH HIGH PERFORMANCE PLASTIC THRUST WASHERS, AND THE TWO WAY SEALED BEARING IS REDESIGNED WITH A SHROUDED THRUST BUSHING. THE MOVEABLE SHEAVE WAS DESIGNED WITH ADDITIONAL BRACING FOR HIGH RPM, AND THE BACK SHEAVE IS 50% THICKER THAN THE PREVIOUS REV X.
-IF PERFORMANCE IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. WIDE OPEN THROTTLE PERFORMANCE AT LOW SPEED IS MENTAL, ACCLEREATION IS UNMATCHED, AND THE TOP SPEED CAPABILITY IS SO HIGH YOU WILL EXCEED THE SPEED RATING ON ALMOST ANY ATV TIRE. PART THROTTLE BELT SQUEEZE IS INCREDIBLE. IT’S GREAT FOR THOSE MASSIVE MUD TIRES, STARTING OFF ON STEEP HILLS, AND HELPS WITH LOW SPEED CONTROL LIKE CLIMBING OVER OBSTICLES OR LOADING UP ON THOSE STEEP RAMPS INTO THE BED OF YOUR TRUCK.
-ALL CLUTCHES WILL NEED TO BE SERVICED AT SOME POINT, A BELT BOX FULL OF WATER OR JUST A TON OF MILES ON THE CLUTCH. WE FOCUSED ON A DESIGN THAT YOU CAN SERVICE YOURSELF, EITHER IN YOUR GARAGE OR BACK AT CAMP SO YOU CAN GET BACK TO RIDING. THE SPIDER IS REMOVEABLE WITHOUT ANY SPECIAL TOOLS, WHICH IS AN INDUSTRY FIRST IN THE BILLET CLUTCH WORLD. WE OFFER A “DRIVE COUPLING REMOVAL TOOL” WHICH REMOVES THE DRIVE COUPLING TO SERVICE OR REPLACE THE 2 WAY BEARING.
THIS CLUTCH WAS DESIGNED AROUND THE FACTORY BELT BECAUSE THAT’S WHAT YOUR MACHINE CAME WITH WHEN IT WAS NEW. WE TOLERANCED THE CLUTCH TO ACCEPT THE “EVO BADASS EX” BELT WHICH IS WIDER THAN THE OEM, AND WILL INCREASE OFF IDLE BELT SQUEEZE AND TOP SPEED. THE GATES REDLINE BELT WILL ALSO WORK.

THE QSC REV X PRIMARY CLUTCH IS THE TOP DOG FOR PERFORMANCE CLUTCHES. MADE FROM 6061 ALUMINUM ON THE MOST ADVANCED CNC EQUIPMENT AVAILABLE. EVERYTHING WAS DONE RIGHT ON THIS LATEST DESIGN. THE PRIMARY CLUTCH TAKES A TON OF ABUSE FROM THE MOTOR. OTHER THAN THE MAIN SHAFT, THE SPIDER TAKES ALL THE ABUSE. THE REV X SPIDER IS OVER 2″ WIDE, WITH 3/4″ BUTTONS, AND 3/4″ LONG ROLLERS FOR A LONGER SERVICE LIFE AND CAPABLE OF HANDELING REDICULOUS POWER! ANOTHER IMPORTANT FEATURE IS THE OVERALL WEIGHT. FOR A COUPLE OF REASONS, A HEAVY CLUTCH DOES NOT GET RID OF HEAT AND WILL CONTINUE TO HEAT UP UNTIL THE BELT OR THE CLUTCH FAILS. THE OTHER IS THROTTLE RESPONSE. THE CLUTCH ON THE MOTOR IS ROTATING WEIGHT AND WHEN WEIGHT IS ADDED TO THE MOTOR IT COSTS YOU THROTTLE RESPONSE. NOBODY WANTS A LAZY MOTOR! THE REV X COMES IN AT ONLY 8lbs 4oz FULLY LOADED. IT IS THE LIGHTEST BILLET PRIMARY ON THE MARKET BY FAR! WE HIT A HOME RUN WITH THE TOWER AND COVERPLATE DESIGN. IT HAS 90 DEGREE TOWER BRACES, AND THE COVER PLATE STRADLES THE OUTSIDE OF THE TOWERS LOCKING EVERYTHING TOGETHER ELIMINATING TORTIONAL DISTORTION IN THE CLUTCH. THIS KEEPS EVERYTHING IN LINE AND WORKING PROPERLY UNDER EXTREME LOADS. THE ONE WAY BEARING IN THE REV X IS ONLY 44mm “REV X STANDARD”, WHICH IS ALSO THE SMALLEST ON THE MARKET. THIS ALLOWS FOR THE LOWEST STARTING RATIO AND THE BEST BOTTOM END PERFORMANCE POSSIBLE. THERE IS NO TOP SPEED LOSS HERE EITHER! IN FACT ON MACHINES THAT ARE NOT SPEED LIMITED “VIA ECU” YOU WILL SEE TOP SPEED GAINS. THE MAIN SHAFT “POST” OF THE CLUTCH IS ALSO STRONGER THAN EVER! WITH ADDED TAPER WALL THICKNESS THIS POST HAS A HIGHER HP RATING. THE GEOMETRY AND ADJUSTABLE WEIGHT DESIGN IS ALSO TOP NOTCH. THE WEIGHTS CONTROL EVERYTHING THE ENGINE SPEED SAYS, AND WE USE THAT TO OUR ADVANTAGE WITH THIS SPECIAL DESIGN. THE PART THROTTLE BELT ENGAGEMENT IS VERY POSITIVE AND EXTREMELY SMOOTH, THIS WORKS GREAT FOR EASING THROUGH A MUD HOLE, LOADING ON YOUR TRAILER, OR TRYING TO GET THOSE 35″ MONSTER TIRES TO START TURNING. IT ALSO MAKES HEAVY THROTTLE PERFORMANCE GO THROUGH THE ROOF!
