Cut and Fold Rear Bumper Suggestions
Hey guys, I’m new to this forum talk. I had major rust on the back lower quarters of my XJ. So I did the common “cut and fold” mod or in my case: “cut and weld” So now I’m looking for rear bumpers out there forthis mod, that will hold up to wheeling. I don’t have time to build one.

Q: Do you have a picture of it installed?
A: No. Wish I did. Buy it and send me a picture.
Q: Will this model fit a 1984-1996 Jeep?
A: I don’t know. I don’t think so. I’ve never tried it.
Q: Are any modifications required to install this bumper?
A: Yes, you must do the “Cut and Fold” Mod before installing this bumper. For more information on the Mod, search Google.
Q: What is the tow rating?
A: It is not officially tow rated.
Q: Can you add a tire carrier to this bumper?
A: I recommend our tire carrier bumper as a separate product. This bumper sits too close to the tailgate to accommodate a tire carrier on top.
Q: Can you add backup lights?
A: Yes, contact us for this modification. We recommend 6 1/2″ rubber grommet oval lights “trailer lights.” We can cut the openings and you can choose from a large selection of lights at etrailer.com. You must purchase your own lights separately and handle all wiring.
Q: What about Rigid (or similar) flush-mount lights?
A: The depth of these lights exceeds the width of the tube. An opening would have to be cut in the back, which would be a water/mud/dirt trap as well as reducing the structural integrity of the bumper.
Q: Will this fit any other vehicles?
A: This is designed to fit 1984-2001 Jeep XJ Cherokee. We will not adapt it to fit another vehicle.

Here is the all new Evolution Cut and Fold Rear bumper. This complements our Evo Front Winch bumper perfectly. We start with a piece of cold rolled, pickled in oil 3/16″ plate and cut it into shape on a CNC laser cutter. Then we take it over to the CNC press brake, bending it to exact dimensions. Then it’s off to our precision jigs where a certified welder assembles it. Afterwards, it receives a quick grind and sand, and it is ready for you to finish the bare steel bumper in a coating you decide on.
Comes with cnc machined 1″ thick D-ring mounts and 2″ receiver. There is a 2 week build time. Free shipping to lower 48 states. Everyone else has to contact us for a shipping quote.
